The Gallimaufry and Emily Magpie are excited to announce the start of a new weekly Wednesday night. 'Magpie Presents' showcases female & non-binary artists / bands from Bristol and beyond who are coming up and creating beautiful, interesting music that feels exciting to us.

Emily Magpie is an artist, multi-instrumentalist and producer from Bristol creating dream pop delving into different dimensions. Her recent EP 'She' on Def Pressé has been championed by Tom Ravenscroft, Deb Grant, Nabihah Iqbal and Emily Pilbeam on BBC 6.

Having recently released her album on Def Pressé, Emily and band have been playing it out on tour supporting Dizraeli and at festivals this summer including Nozstock, Green Man, Shambala and Bristol Harbourside (Ampitheatre Stage).

Anna Colette is a Bermudian Singer, Guitarist and Songwriter capturing the essence of Joni Mitchell, Bonnie Raitte, John Martyn and The Sundays. Her lyrics explore themes of womanhood and her life journey alongside side impressive experimental guitar tunings and rich synthesiser textures. Her stage presence is witty, confident and vulnerable; bringing the audience close to tears with her music whilst cracking jokes and stories in between songs! she's a truly skilled performer and artist. Whilst she is a undeniable force in her solo performances, Anna also has a full band that can bring the noise when they want to!
